Purpose

Build single-leg balance, ankle stability and movement confidence under full body weight.

How to perform

Hold the board close to level using small, controlled corrections through the foot and ankle. Lower the free foot with control and repeat on the other side.

Duration

15–30 seconds per foot

Coaching cues

  • Keep the gaze forward
  • Keep the knee softly bent and aligned with the toes
  • Maintain three points of contact through the foot
  • Use light fingertip support as needed, then gradually reduce it

Training level

This exercise is presented as one focused progression.

Once the standard setup feels consistently controlled, progress to the triangular bars for a greater stability challenge.
