Purpose
Learn to control the board with reduced body weight while building foot and ankle awareness before standing progressions.
How to perform
Maintain contact through the heel, base of the big toe and base of the little toe. Use small, slow movements around the center and return smoothly without letting the board drop.
Duration
8–12 controlled movements per foot
Coaching cues
- Use small, precise movements around the center
- Control the board through the foot and ankle
- Keep the toes relaxed
- Keep the upper body still
Training level
This exercise is presented as one focused progression.
Once the standard setup feels consistently controlled, progress to the triangular bars for a greater stability challenge.
